Our Philosophy

We welcome people of all experience levels to come to share our passion, whatever their age, disability, gender, race, ethnicity, sexuality, or social/economic status.

We understand the importance of teamwork and how being part of a team can help you perform better. All of our members benefit from being together.

To develop talent in athletes, it is critical that they attend regularly and compete together in competitions as part of individual and team development.

About Us

Our club was founded in 1977 and has developed enormously since then.

The club has both successful senior men’s and lady's teams which are underpinned by our vibrant juvenile squad.

Many of our athletes performed really well on the national and international level and hold not only club but national records. In 2004 North Sligo U-17 boys created club history when they finished 1st, 2nd & 3rd in the Western Region A.A.I. Juvenile Cross Country Championships held in Sligo racecourse. In the club 27 year history it’s the first time that three athletes from the club made a clean sweep of the individual medals in any athletic event.

We are located in North Sligo which takes in the villages of Rathcormack, Drumcliffe, Glencar, Carney, Maugherow, Grange, Cliffoney, Mullaghmore, Ballintrillick, and areas close by.
