Cascais Ironman Triathlon

Gary Higgins and club chairperson Eamon McAndrew competed in the Cascais Ironman Triathlon in Portugal on Saturday last, they were both competing in the over 45 age group category. Higgins put in a fine performance finishing 5th in his category in 9 hours 28 mins 43 secs, McAndrew had to pull in the last event the marathon after 10k because of a knee problem.
